We’re your local Democrats!

We’re your local Democrats—organizing, advocating, and taking action right here in Clarke County. Here’s a quick look at what we do and how you can get involved.

What do we do:

• Recruit people to run for local office.
• Support candidates running as Democrats at the national, state and local level.
• Foster volunteers for elections and campaigning including canvassing (door knocking), direct mail, phone banking, fund raising, and events, poll greeting and poll watching.
• Advocate for voting rights and fair elections.
• Strengthen the Clarke County Democratic. Committee through outreach and communications.

Our Monthly Meetings:

We meet the first Saturday of every month at the Sanctuary Wellness Center, 208 N. Buckmarsh St., Berryville VA. Meeting start is 10:00 AM and we also publish a ZOOM link prior to each meeting for those who wish to attend virtually. 

These general membership meetings are open to the public. Get on our mailing list to know more about what we’re working on. Note: occasionally the monthly meeting is replaced by a significant event.

Q: How can I can become a member of the CCDC, and how much are the annual dues?

Answer:  We’re excited that you’re ready to join your local Democrats and help make a real difference in Clarke County. Our team is working hard to build a strong Democratic majority, and we’re thrilled to welcome new members like you. Membership approval is subject to a vote at the next scheduled Clarke County Democratic Committee (CCDC) monthly meeting. To get started, simply complete the application below and submit your membership dues. A member of our team will be in touch soon to officially welcome you aboard!  

Q: How much are your dues and when do I pay them? 

Answer: Dues are $25 per individual and they are due when you join.  We request the new year’s dues around Nov – Jan time frame.  You can mail in dues and donations or use the Act Blue hyperlink.  If you have questions about your Dues, please contact our Treasurer at ClarkeCountyVADemocrats@gmail.com

The CCDC Executive Committee

The Clarke County Democratic Committee elects its Executive Committee to serve two-year terms, as outlined in the Committee’s bylaws. The current leadership term will conclude with the election of a new Executive Committee at the reorganization meeting in December 2025 – January 2026.

In addition to the Executive Committee, the Clarke County Democrats have established the following subcommittees:
